Hello teacher Paulina, today I
will talk about a very peculiar character.
stephen Hawking
Stephen Hawking was born in Oxford,
England on January 8, 1942, during World War II (1939-1945).
He lived in Oxford until he was 8 years old, since it
was a safe place to have children.
In the year 1950 he moved to St. Albans, a town 20
miles from London.
At age of 21, he was diagnosed with a severe
degenerative neuronal disease called amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
Hawking obtained a degree in physics from the
University of Oxford and began a PhD in quantum physics at the University of
Cambridge in the 1960s.
During that decade, in 1965 he married Jane Wilde
with whom he had three children; He divorced in 1955 and he married again with
his nurse, Elaine Manson, he divorced Elaine in 2006 and eight years later he
returned with his first wife Jane Wilde.
He studied the basic laws that govern the
universe, the theory of "Relativity of Einstein" (1879-1955), which
implies space and time that a Big Bang principle must have and an end within
black holes.
He has written several popular science books; He
has 12 honorary doctorates, awards, medals and continues to do research,
travel, conferences and enjoy his family life thanks to his great optimism
despite the illness that has degenerated his body in the last 55 years.
